چکیده

The rapidly developing, worldwide marketplace is leading to the geographical dispersion of production, assembly and distribution operations. This paper deals with three aspects of international logistics networks: strategic, tactical and operational. The strategic level designs the logistics network, including prescribing facility locations, production technologies and plant capacities. The tactical level prescribes material flow management policies, including production levels at all plants, assembly policy, inventory levels, and lot sizes. The operational level schedules operations to assure in-time delivery of final products to customers. This paper reviews the literature that deals with strategic, tactical and operational levels and discusses relevant modeling issues.

Developing a Mixed Integer Quadratic Programing Model with Integer Numbers for Designing a Dynamic closed-loop Logistics Network

Logistics Network Design includes network configuration decisions having long-standing influences on other tactical and operational decisions. Recently, regarding environmental issues and customer awareness and global warming closed-loop supply chain network design is taken into consideration. The proposed network for the integrated forward and reverse logistics is developed by formulating a cy...

A hierarchical approach for designing the downstream segment for a supply chain of petroleum production systems

Strategic decisions in a supply chain are the most important decisions for petroleum production systems. These decisions, due to high costs of transportation and storing, are costly and affected by the tactical and operational decisions in uncertain situations. In this article, we focus on designing a downstream segment for a supply chain of petroleum production systems. For this purpose, we wi...

An optimization model for management of empty containers in distribution network of a logistics company under uncertainty

In transportation via containers, unbalanced movement of loaded containers forces shipping companies to reposition empty containers. This study addresses the problem of empty container repositioning (ECR) in the distribution network of a European logistics company, where some restrictions impose decision making in an uncertain environment. The problem involves dispatching empty contain...

Performance Analysis of Supply Chain Networks using Petri nets

In this paper, we investigate dynamic modeling tcchniques for analyzing supply chain networks using generalized stochastic Petri nets (GSPN). The customer order arrival process is assumed to be Poisson and the service processes at the various facilities of the supply chain are assumed to be exponential. Our modeling method accounts for both the logistics process as well as the interface process...
